Job summary

LAUNCH is seeking a Diesel School Bus Mechanic in Milwaukee, WI. The role runs Monday–Friday 1st shift, 9am–5:30pm, with pay between $26-$35 per hour. Candidates will service diesel buses, diagnose defects, perform preventative maintenance, and overhaul engines and transmissions.

Proficiency with Cummins Insite, Wabco, and Allison is required. Applicants should have at least 3+ years in bus or medium truck service, own tools, and CDL B with air brake endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement preferred.
• A/C Certification.
• Must have own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair of gasoline and diesel buses per DOT requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical defects and perform preventive maintenance.
• Major and minor engine and transmission overhaul.
• Use Cummins Insite, Wabco, and Allison diagnostics for troubleshooting.
• Keep records of time and materials used.
