Job summary

Transdev in Columbia, SC seeks an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across our fleet. You will perform diagnostic tests, routine maintenance, and lead complex repairs with a focus on safety and reliability.

This role requires ASE certifications and a complete tool set; you may work flexible shifts and participate in DOT drug testing. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are required.
• Must have a Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical per applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Other duties as required.
