Grubbs Family of Dealerships in Texas is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles to the highest standard. Qualifications

• Diesel repair experience required and proven diagnostic skills.
• Strong mechanical skills on diesel engines and emissions systems.
• Willingness to pursue ASE and manufacturer certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, emissions (DEF/DPF/EGR), and after treatment systems
• Perform advanced electrical, driveability, and computer-related diagnostics on diesel platforms
• Complete maintenance, repairs, recalls, and manufacturer-recommended services to factory specification
• Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings clearly
• Work efficiently to meet and exceed flag-hour expectations without sacrificing quality
• Communicate clearly and promptly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate
• Follow proper warranty and repair documentation so the story line supports the work
• Road-test to verify both the concern and the repair, and keep your bay and equipment clean and organized

What We’re Looking For

• Diesel repair experience required
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines and emissions systems
• ASE (including diesel/medium-heavy) and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
• Own a set of tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
