Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships in Texas seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles to the highest standard. You will be busy, rewarded for expertise, and expected to deliver accurate diagnostics and quality work that won’t come back.

Qualifications

• Diesel repair experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines.
• ASE diesel/medium-heavy or manufacturer certifications a plus.
• Own a set of tools and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, emissions (DEF/DPF/EGR), and after treatment systems.
• Perform advanced electrical, driveability, and computer-related diagnostics on diesel platforms.
• Complete maintenance, repairs, recalls, and manufacturer-recommended services to factory specification.
• Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings clearly.
• Work efficiently to meet and exceed flag-hour expectations without sacrificing quality.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate.
• Follow proper warranty and repair documentation so the story line supports the work.
• Road-test to verify both the concern and the repair, and keep your bay and equipment clean and organized.

What We’re Looking For

• Diesel repair experience required
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines and emissions systems
• ASE (including diesel/medium-heavy) and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
• Own a set of tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
