Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, and emission controls, performing advanced electrical diagnostics and factory-specified maintenance.

You should own your own toolbox, have diesel repair experience, and hold ASE diesel/medium-heavy certification or equivalent manufacturer certifications. A valid driver’s license and clean record are required; training is provided.

• Diesel repair experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines.
• ASE diesel/medium-heavy certification and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Own a set of tools and valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, emissions (DEF/DPF/EGR).
• Perform advanced electrical, driveability, and computer diagnostics on diesel platforms.
• Complete maintenance, repairs, recalls, and manufacturer-recommended services to spec.
• Complete thorough multi-point inspections and document findings clearly.
• Meet flag-hour expectations while maintaining quality and safety.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and communicate findings clearly.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles to the highest standard. We'll keep you busy and reward your expertise - and in return we expect accurate diagnostics, efficient production, and quality work that doesn't come back.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, emissions (DEF/DPF/EGR), and after treatment systems
• Perform advanced electrical, driveability, and computer-related diagnostics on diesel platforms
• Complete maintenance, repairs, recalls, and manufacturer-recommended services to factory specification
• Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings clearly
• Work efficiently to meet and exceed flag-hour expectations without sacrificing quality
• Communicate clearly and promptly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate
• Follow proper warranty and repair documentation so the story line supports the work
• Road-test to verify both the concern and the repair, and keep your bay and equipment clean and organized

• Diesel repair experience required
