Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles to the highest standard. You will be busy, trusted to deliver accurate diagnostics, efficient production, and quality work that doesn’t come back.

The role emphasizes strong diesel knowledge, maintenance to factory specifications, and a path to mastery within a family-owned dealership culture that values integrity and growth.

Qualifications

• Diesel repair experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines and emissions systems.
• Own a set of tools including basic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, emissions (DEF/DPF/EGR), and after treatment systems.
• Perform advanced electrical, driveability, and computer-related diagnostics on diesel platforms.
• Complete maintenance, repairs, recalls, and manufacturer-recommended services to factory specification.
• Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings clearly.
• Work efficiently to meet and exceed flag-hour expectations without sacrificing quality.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate.
• Follow proper warranty and repair documentation so the story line supports the work.
• Road-test to verify both the concern and the repair, and keep your bay and equipment clean and organized.

What We’re Looking For

• Diesel repair experience required
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines and emissions systems
• ASE (including diesel/medium-heavy) and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
• Own a set of tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
