Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota company, seeks a Die & Tooling Manager to lead Advanced Tooling and Manufacturing Operations in Assaria, KS. You will oversee tooling, fixture design, prototype shop support, and material handling, aligning engineering and manufacturing priorities.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will build a high-performing team, implement scalable workflows, and balance brand needs with shared tooling priorities while driving safety, quality, and throughput

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in engineering operations, tooling, manufacturing, or related technical operations.
• Experience with tooling, fixtures, prototypes, and manufacturing support operations.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation and manufacturing processes.
• Experience coordinating technical work across multiple engineering teams or product lines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for Advanced Tooling and Manufacturing Operations across multiple product groups.
• Lead implementation of non-current and emergency parts manufacturing, including workflow and resource planning.
• Establish departmental goals, standards, and performance expectations for safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement in workflow efficiency, shop throughput, and resource utilization.
• Provide cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to meet business needs.
• Oversee day-to-day operations for tooling, fixture fabrication, prototype shop activities, and material handling equipment.
