Job summary

IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY in Mansfield, OH is seeking a Die Setter to install, align, and secure stamping dies and tooling onto production presses per blueprints and specs. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor and manufacturing team to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include set up, adjust press speed and stroke, inspect parts with precision tools, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Prior die setting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience as a Die Setter or in press setup in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering data.

Responsibilities

• Set up, align, and secure stamping dies, fixtures, and tooling onto production presses.
• Load and position coils of sheet metal into feeding mechanisms.
• Adjust machine settings to control press speed, material feed, and stroke length.
• Conduct test runs and first-piece inspections for proper setup.
• Troubleshoot minor tooling issues and perform press adjustments.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
