Job summary

Phoenix Sintered Metals, LLC is seeking a Full Time Third Shift Press Operator to set up and run presses for ejection, fill, and mold positioning per blueprints. You will qualify tooling, install adaptations, and ensure safe, efficient tool stack‑ups.

You will identify required blocks, bolts, clamps, and tubes for successful setups and review shoe condition to reduce tailings. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized work area, running equipment as directed, performing

Qualifications

• Experience setting up presses from blueprints.
• Prepare PM tooling incl. cleaning, de-magnetization, fitting, verify no collisions.
• Identify adaptations like blocks, bolts, clamps, tubes for tool stack‑ups.
• Inspect and qualify setups with micrometers, calipers, indicators.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and support supervision.
• Familiarity with PLEX ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine press settings for ejection, fill, and compaction per blueprint.
• Qualify tooling and tooling protection; ensure no collisions.
• Identify and install required adaptations for tool stack‑ups.
• Install adaptations to achieve correct ejection, fill, and mold positions.
• Review shoe condition and replace shoe bottoms when needed to reduce tailings.
• Maintain inspection routines with micrometer, calipers, indicators.
