Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Die Setter to lead machine set-ups for mold changes and die-related functions. The role requires attention to hydraulics, pneumatics, and hot runner systems, along with reliable documentation and safety compliance.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, work around moving parts, and operate in a manufacturing environment. This full-time position is based in Port Huron, MI, with standard shifts and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Experience with die setting and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Comfort working around moving machinery and hot components.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes per the production schedule, including emergency changes.
• Set up die-related functions: watering, knockout, hot runner, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Repair fluid or air leaks in the die and handle die inserts.
• Pull and reset die halves for die repair; load/unload die carrying trucks.
• Maintain orderly die storage and ensure paperwork is completed timely.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and USF policies.

US Farathaneis seeking an experiencedDie Setter. The Die Setter is directly responsible for the machine set-ups including primary and secondary equipment both scheduled and unscheduled.

We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for the proper set-up of all die related functions such as watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Responsible for repairing any fluid or air leaks relating to the die.
• Responsible for any and all die insert changes.
• Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all die halves specifically for the purpose of die repair.
• Responsible for the loading and unloading of all die carrying trucks.
• Responsible for maintaining the orderly appearance of all die storage.
• Responsible for the ordering of, and the orderly appearance of, all die setting supplies including the removal of all said supplies from the molding machine.
• Responsible for the initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Responsible to ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner.
• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible to follow all USF policies and procedures.

• Frequent standing or walking for long periods of time.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Employee may be required to work outside for short periods of time.
