Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Die Setter to manage machine set-ups including primary and secondary equipment, both scheduled and unscheduled. The role emphasizes safety, paperwork accuracy, and maintaining clean, efficient work areas.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (or 6 months–2 years related experience), Hi Lo license, and crane training. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up dies and primary/secondary equipment, scheduled and unscheduled.
  • Complete paperwork timely and accurately.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and quality policies.
  • Maintain housekeeping and report issues to supervisor.
  • Monitor mold changes, check for leaks, and address issues.

US Farathane is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Die Setter. The Die Setter is directly responsible for the machine set-ups including primary and secondary equipment both scheduled and unscheduled.

US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Die Setters are responsible for all areas of the die set – clamping, watering, cleaning area, excessive grease from tie bars, and set up cycle per cycle sheet.
  • Die Setters are directly responsible for the machine set-ups including primary and secondary equipment both scheduled and unscheduled.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.)
  • Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas
  • Communicate to Supervisor when low on Die Setter supplies
  • When Die Setters approach the mold change, they are to survey the area for any oil leaks, clean the area if need be and they are to report issues to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain inventory of Die Setter supplies in good condition and complete a request for more supplies
  • Work required overtime as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Hi Lo License, and crane training required
  • Follow instructions properly
  • Neat performance of duties
  • Willing and able to work seven (7) days a week whenever required
  • Must be capable of completing mold change part to part within 1 (one) hour or less while following all safety rules
  • Document any machine or secondary issues utilizing maintenance work order system

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
