Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Die Setter at our Auburn Hills, MI facility. The role covers machine set-ups for dies and associated tooling, including hydraulics and hot runner systems, with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will perform mold changes, manage die changes, and maintain organized die storage while following OSHA standards. The position requires readiness for physical tasks, adherence to safety, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with mold changes and die set-up.
• Ability to set up die tooling including hot runner systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in die operations.
• Ability to follow OSHA safety rules and company policies.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes per production schedule and emergency changes.
• Set up dies including watering, knockout, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Repair leaks and manage die inserts and die halves for repairs.
• Load/unload die carrying trucks and maintain die storage areas.
• Ensure paperwork is completed and filed timely.

US Farathaneis seeking an experiencedDie Setter.The Die Setter is directly responsible for the machine set-ups including primary and secondary equipment both scheduled and unscheduled.

Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI

We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for the proper set-up of all die related functions such as watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Responsible for repairing any fluid or air leaks relating to the die.
• Responsible for any and all die insert changes.
• Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all die halves specifically for the purpose of die repair.
• Responsible for the loading and unloading of all die carrying trucks.
• Responsible for maintaining the orderly appearance of all die storage.
• Responsible for the ordering of, and the orderly appearance of, all die setting supplies including the removal of all said supplies from the molding machine.
• Responsible for the initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Responsible to ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner.
• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible to follow all USF policies and procedures.
