Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Die Setter to manage machine set-ups and mold changes for both scheduled and unscheduled events in Auburn Hills, MI. The role covers die-related operations, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and hot runner setup, with emphasis on safety and paperwork accuracy.

The candidate must perform mold changes per production schedule, repair leaks, and handle die inserts and die halves. OSHA safety rules and USF policies must be followed.

Qualifications

• Experience with die set-ups and mold changes.
• Ability to perform die repair and set up hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Ability to follow OSHA and safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all mold changes per production schedule and emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for proper set-up of all die-related functions (watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Repair any fluid or air leaks relating to the die.
• Manage die insert changes and die halves for repairs.
• Pulling and resetting die halves for die repair.
• Load/unload die carrying trucks and maintain die storage area order.
• Order and manage die setting supplies and remove them from molding machines as needed.
• Initial shooting of all die sets where applicable and ensure timely paperwork submission.
• Follow all OSHA and safety rules and USF policies.
• Perform duties with attention to safety and quality.

Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for the proper set-up of all die related functions such as watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Responsible for repairing any fluid or air leaks relating to the die.
• Responsible for any and all die insert changes.
• Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all die halves specifically for the purpose of die repair.
• Responsible for the loading and unloading of all die carrying trucks.
• Responsible for maintaining the orderly appearance of all die storage.
• Responsible for the ordering of, and the orderly appearance of, all die setting supplies including the removal of all said supplies from the molding machine.
• Responsible for the initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Responsible to ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner.
• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible to follow all USF policies and procedures.
