Job summary

Findlay Products Corp. in Findlay, OH seeks a Die Set Technician / Stamping Press Operator for 1st shift.

You will maintain die setting, press parameters, and start presses from a shutdown condition, initiating production runs to continuous mode. You will perform quality inspections, transport/change dies per the schedule, and work with teams to optimize press utilization and downtime while adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined and drive improvement to meet established performance goals.
• Knowledge of die setting, press parameters, and starting the press from shutdown.
• Ability to initiate press production runs to a continuous mode.
• Perform quality inspections (First Off/Last Off) and follow inspection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Transport dies and perform die sets up and changes dies per production schedule.
• Set up rails, ensure proper hooking and operation of equipment.
• Install, position, and align dies on the bolster; maximize job/die efficiency.
• Document issues with dies/press and communicate to Press Improvement Teams.
• Collaborate with Press Improvement, Tool & Die and Maintenance to optimize utilization and downtime.
• Make gripper and end stop adjustments; adjust coil feed parameters to minimize downtime.
• Perform small maintenance repairs and maintain safe, clean work areas.
