Job summary

Hydro is seeking dedicated personnel in Portland, Oregon for a permanent Die Repair position. Starting rate of pay is $20/hour with a $1.00/hour shift differential and benefits including a Retirement Savings Plan, Education Assistance, and Bonus Plan Eligibility.

Responsibilities include retrieving tooling for press schedules, safely handling, cleaning, and transporting dies; operating with precision tooling and following production documentation; and performing related duties as assigned in a

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision tooling.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and setup documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull all correct tooling for press schedules and supply them to the correct Press/location.
• Remove all used tooling from presses and separate tooling for caustic/storage.
• Load used tooling into boil out tanks.
• Remove boiled out tooling from caustic tanks, rinse, dry.
• Shot blast all dies from caustic cleaning and transport into die repair shop.
• Manipulation and control of steel (50-75lbs) with pulling, pushing and lifting.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and lifting devices.
• Knowledge of extrusion dies, tooling assembly, and die handling practices.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
