Job summary

Toyota Manufacturing’s Die Maintenance Department seeks a skilled technician to perform welding, grinding, machining, and fabrication on casting dies for aluminum cylinder heads across North America plants. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, and teamwork in a non-climate-controlled environment.

We offer competitive entry pay: starting at $36.00 per hour with a growth path to $48.95, plus a $1.50 shift premium for PM shifts, quarterly bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in a related field or 2 years of Industrial Maintenance experience/Military experience.
• Experience assembling, welding, grinding, machining, and hand finishing dies to maintain quality.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
• Technical knowledge and skills in Tool & Die, Welding, Machining.
• Available to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
• Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, grinding, machining, hand finishing and fabrication.
• Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
• Assembly and disassembly of dies and die components.
• Operate cranes and industrial vehicles.
• Conduct emergency repairs.
• Work in a team setting.
• Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues, and progress of work.
• Solve problems to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Stand and walk 10-12 hours per shift.
• Work in non-climate-controlled environment (hot in the summer, cool in the winter).
