Job summary

Toyota Manufacturing is seeking a Skilled Die Maintenance Technician in Missouri to perform preventative maintenance on casting dies used in aluminum cylinder head production for North American plants. You will weld, machine, modify dies and support equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Candidates need an AAS or at least 2 years in industrial maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and willingness to work all shifts including overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year Associate of Applied Science in a related field or 2 years of industrial maintenance or military experience.
• Experience assembling, welding, grinding, machining and finishing dies to maintain quality.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with ability to solve problems.
• Technical knowledge in Tool & Die, Welding and Machining.
• Able to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, grinding, machining, hand finishing and fabrication.
• Modify dies for surface quality and accuracy.
• Assemble and disassemble dies and die components.
• Operate cranes and industrial vehicles.
• Conduct emergency repairs and work in a team setting.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Die Maintenance Department is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Skilled Die Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is preventative maintenance on casting dies used to manufacture aluminum cylinder heads that support the engine production and ultimately automobile production for all Toyota plants in North America.

What we offer

• Starting hourly rate of $36.00 with a 3 year grow-in rate up to $48.95
• $1.50 hourly shift premium for PM shifts
• Quarterly attendance and safety bonus
• Current hiring for the following shifts:
  • Weekday PM, 8pm-6:30am, Mon-Thurs
  • Weekend PM, 6pm-6:30am, Fri-Sun *

(* Weekend shift is 36 hours, but paid 40 hours)

What you’ll be doing

• Perform welding, grinding, machining, hand finishing and fabrication
• Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy
• Assembly and disassembly of dies and die components
• Operate cranes and industrial vehicles
• Conduct emergency repairs
• Work in a team setting
• Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues, and progress of work
• Solve problems to improve safety, quality, and productivity
• Stand and walk 10-12 hours per shift
• Work in non-climate-controlled environment (hot in the summer, cool in the winter)

What you bring

• A 2-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in a related field or 2 years of Industrial Maintenance experience/Military experience
• Experience assembling, welding, grinding, machining, and hand finishing dies to maintain quality
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems
• Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: Tool & Die, Welding, Machining
• Available to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns

• Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods
