Job summary

Ms Companies, LLC seeks qualified Die Maintenance Technicians to support the maintenance and upkeep of mass production tooling at a Springfield, Ohio facility. The role involves repairing progressive and transfer tooling, diagnosing tooling issues, and keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year Tool and Die Technology degree (or equivalent automotive stamping experience), strong reading of mechanical drawings, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two-year degree in Tool and Die Technology with at least two years of on-the-job experience, or documented die maintenance experience in an automotive metal stamping facility in place of a degree
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Flexibility to work any shift based on production needs
• Stable work history with a strong attendance record
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Commitment to following established safety procedures and safe working methods
• Must pass a written qualification test followed by a hands-on skills test

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures and established safety practices
• Repair and maintain progressive and transfer tooling used in mass production
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and support production needs
• Weld and repair tool steels
• Perform hand grinding on dies and tooling components
• Help keep production tooling in safe and efficient working condition
