Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Die Maintenance Technicians to join the team of a tier-one automotive stamping and assembly supplier! In this role, you will assist in the maintenance and upkeep of mass production tooling at the Springfield, OH facility. Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED


• 2-year degree in Tool and Die Technology plus 2 years of on-the-job experience, or documented die maintenance experience in an automotive metal stamping facility in lieu of a degree


• Ability to read mechanical drawings


• Crane experience


• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends


• Stable work history with good attendance


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment


• Must pass a written qualifications test, followed by a hands-on skills test upon successful completion

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Microsoft Office (a plus, not required)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures for die maintenance and safety


• Repair and maintain progressive and transfer tooling used in mass production stamping


• Weld and repair tool steels


• Perform hand grinding on dies and tooling components


• Support mass production by keeping tooling in efficient working condition

Physical and Environment Requirements

Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include: standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25–50 lbs depending on role & other work that may be performed in a manufacturing, warehouse, or office environment.
