Viking Forge LLC in Streetsboro, OH is seeking an experienced Die Design Engineer to join our forging-focused team. The role covers hot forged product and tooling design, with emphasis on tooling improvements and process optimization.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in forging/tooling design, SolidWorks 3-D modeling, and a working knowledge of material selection and heat treatment. You will collaborate across manufacturing and quality departments to deliver mass-produced solutions.

Qualifications

• Forging and tooling design experience (3–5 years preferred).
• SolidWorks 3-D modeling experience.
• Knowledge of material selection/heat treatment.
• Basic understanding of ANSI Y14.5M-1999 drafting standard.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Hot forged product and tooling design.
• FEA material flow simulation/die stress analysis.
• SolidWorks simulation.
• Tooling improvement and troubleshooting.
• Manufacturing process design and development.
• Analyze and apply expertise to existing products.
• Manage multiple existing and newly designed projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality departments.
• Develop new products from customer concepts to mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement of the product and forging process.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
