Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Cutting Operator on-site in Wisconsin to set up, operate, and maintain die-cutting machines for cardboard packaging products. You will work with a safety-focused team to ensure quality and efficiency, completing make-readies, following SOPs, and inspecting outputs.

Training is provided; after training, shifts include 2nd shift 2pm-10pm or 3rd shift 10pm-6am, with potential day shift training and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school or better education required.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with automated die-cutting, stripping, and carton blanking is a plus—though not required.

Responsibilities

Description

Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to take your career to the next level in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Join Green Bay Packaging as aCutting Operator, where you'll play a key role in transforming raw materials into high-quality packaging solutions.

In this hands-on role, you’ll set up, operate, and maintain state-of-the-art die-cutting machines to cut, crease, and shape paperboard and other substrates. You’ll ensure precision, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production efficiency—all while contributing to a team that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both off-press and on-press make-readies with accuracy and efficiency
• Set up and operate die-cutting presses according to job specifications
• Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Collaborate with team members & management to meet production goals and deadlines
• Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

• Must be willing to work either
• 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm) OR 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am) after training.
• Training: Day shift (6am –2pm, Monday–Friday) for up to 120 days

Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
