Job summary

Mill Rock Packaging is seeking a Die Cutting Assistant for the 3rd shift in St. Paul, MN. The role supports the Die Cutting Operator by preparing loads, checking part numbers, and loading stock into the feeder.

The position requires lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods in a production environment. Responsibilities include tool setup using the centerline system, maintaining tooling storage, and performing routine quality checks in accordance with quality system requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a printing plant.
• GED or high school equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loads for die cutting and verify part numbers.
• Load stock into the feeder and assist the operator.
• Unload die cutter and inspect loads for errors.
• Perform quality checks per quality system requirements.
• Set up tooling using the centerline system.
• Arrange top strippers, bottom stripping pins, and blankers.
• Keep tooling storage organized and maintain dies.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with machine maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Die Cutting Operator by preparing loads for die cutting, checking product part numbers and loading stock into the feeder.
• Off‑load die cutter and inspect every load of die cut product for cutting and printing errors.
• Perform quality checks in full compliance with all quality system requirements.
• Use centerline system to perform proper tooling setups.
• Set up top strippers, bottom stripping pins, as well as top and bottom blankers.
• Store die cutting tooling and maintain order in the tooling storage areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, clean die cutters, tooling and die cutting area during idle times.
• Assist with routine die cutter maintenance, including thoroughly cleaning the machine during scheduled maintenance times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
