Supremex Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Die Cutting Supervisor to lead the die cutting and sheeting teams, coordinate with production planning, and ensure on-time customer deliveries.

You will establish operating systems, set cutting standards, monitor performance, and maintain quality and housekeeping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a team-leading/manufacturing role.
• Experience in paper-based or converting environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.

Responsible to supervise and coordinate activities of the die cutting department for receiving, scheduling, cutting and coordinating with folding for timely production in order to meet customer deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of die cutting and sheeting employees
• Communicates & coordinates effectively with production planning and quality control in order to ensure plant runs efficiently
• Establishes operating systems & procedures which maximize the effectiveness of the department and ensure all personnel maintain & adhere to these systems and procedures
• Establishes cutting standards and communicate those standards to personnel, documenting and evaluating performance on a regular basis
• Maintains, documents and reports customer and regular stock receiving and advises sales, customer service and production planning of any potential problems
• Maintains & inventory all spare parts for die cutting presses
• Enforces & maintains quality standards and housekeeping requirements
• Other duties as assigned
• Prioritize work based on production & customer requirements and department objectives

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in Team Leading role of manufacturing
• Related paper-based industry experience preferred: envelopes, folding carton, printing, business forms, corrugate manufacturing or converting, etc.
• Computer literacy. Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics AX) is an asset.
• Good people management and engagement abilities in manufacturing environment

Compensation
$22.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
