Job summary

Western States Envelope and Label Company in Erlanger, KY is seeking a Paper Die Cut Machine Operator (Cutter) to set up and run die-cutting machinery and produce high-quality paper products per customer specifications.

This role demands strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read job specs, attention to detail, use measuring tools, and teamwork. Second shift, 10-hour days with a $1.50/hour premium; competitive pay raises and a 401k plan are offered.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of die-cutting processes for paper.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Ability to use measuring tools and gauges.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Reads order jacket to determine specifications of order to be cut.
• Sets up die-cutting machines, including loading dies, adjusting pressure and speed, and ensuring proper alignment on a wide variety of equipment in Manufacturing.
• Operates the machines safely and efficiently to cut paper stock according to job specifications.
• Ensures that all products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Proactively identifies and addresses potential quality issues.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks on machinery.
• Completes paperwork at end of tasks.
