Alkegen is seeking an operator in the casting department to schedule dies, set up production runs, and maintain quality of parts. The role involves following precise instructions, using jigs and fixtures, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting dies, maintaining paperwork, and participating in performance reviews and continuous improvement activities. A high school diploma and forklift certification are required or preferred, with overtime possible on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Safety-conscious and able to work in a noisy environment.

Responsabilités

• Schedule casters on dies per Production Manager instructions.
• Set up dies and instruct Die Setter on order of runs.
• Ensure first articles are run and timers set for casters when dies are set up.
• Verify paperwork and use of all jigs, fitters and screens for each die.
• Help solve problems on dies and maintain quality of parts.
• Inspect and sign off on all produced racks before drying.
• Report mechanical or electrical issues to Supervisor or Maintenance.
• Maintain forklift certification and a safe, clean work area.
• Participate in area performance reviews and safety data entries.
• Engage in Quick Kaizens after customer complaints or high scrap.
