Job summary

Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Die Cast department in Clinton, TN. The role focuses on improving and sustaining aluminum die casting processes, boosting quality and production efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies.

The engineer will optimize processes, maintain tooling and equipment, and lead root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence, while documenting changes and SOPs across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4–6 years related experience and a HS Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in aluminum die casting or metal casting manufacturing engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of aluminum die casting processes and metallurgy.
• Experience with laser marking, 2D matrix codes, traceability, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and casting simulations.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot aluminum die casting processes to improve product quality, yield, and cycle time.
• Collaborate with toolmakers and maintenance teams to ensure dies and equipment are properly maintained.
• Oversee laser marking, 2D codes implementation, and traceability.
• Manage auto deburring, trim pressing, and distortion table operations.
• Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Document process changes, SOPs, and technical reports; work with cross-functional teams.
