Job summary

Fall River Die Cast Company is seeking a Die Cast Machine Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You will operate a high pressure die casting machine to produce brass and aluminum castings, inspect quality, and assist with setup and tooling changes in a fast-paced shop floor environment.

Job description

Position: Die Cast Machine Operator

Pay: $35/hour (starting $20/hour plus $15/hr manual incentive paid to FRDC employees. Details on request.)

Work Schedule:1st Shit: Monday-Friday; 7am -3pm plus overtime as scheduled.

Reports to: Die Cast Manager

As a Die Cast Machine Operator, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company as one of the most critical production roles at the business. You will be responsible for the operation of a manual or automatic high pressure die casting machine to produce brass and aluminum castings from molten metal. This is a hands-on, fast paced shop floor position. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Operate the die casting machine and inspect for defects as castings are produced
• Use a hand sprayer to apply die release
• Clean and maintain dies by wire wheeling and polishing
• De-flash castings during production
• Help with machine set-ups and tooling changes
• Furnace tending and material handling

A successful candidate should have some prior manufacturing experience in a factory environment. Die casting or foundry experience a plus but not required. You will be standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures. Attention to quality and following work instructions is very important. The candidate must be willing to learn, follow the directions of a supervisor, and work cooperatively with other team members. A positive attitude and regular and punctual attendance is required.
