Job summary

Precision Fluorocarbon, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Diaphragm Press Operator to set up and run the Diaphragm, Clicker, and Hydromet presses, producing molds and parts to exact specifications.

The role requires accurate logging of materials and production data, safe operation of equipment, and adherence to scheduling and quality standards. A GED and 1–3 months of manufacturing experience are preferred; ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• One to three months' experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Sets-up all Diaphragm, Clicker, and Hydromet Presses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately weighs resin containers, records on Inventory Log Sheets, and reports usage for Work Orders.
• Molds parts accurately to specifications and processes recorded on Work Orders.
• Loads ovens as needed and handles tooling and dies safely.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and follows all safety rules and company policies.

Diaphragm Press Operator

Full Time Direct Labor Precision Fluorocarbon, Inc., Houston, TX, US

The Diaphragm Press Operator will set up and run the Diaphragm, Clicker, and Hydromet Press machines, accurately and in a timely manner, to produce excellent quality molds and/or parts in accordance with specifications, planned processes, times, and quality, and ensure the assigned equipment is maintained as needed.

JOB DUTIES:

• Sets-up all Diaphragm, Clicker, and Hydromet Presses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately weighs all resin containers prior to use and after use, records information on Inventory Log Sheets, and accurately reports amount used for Work Orders.
• Accurately records number of blanks taken on appropriate Inventory Log.
• Molds parts accurately (conforms to specifications and processes as recorded on Work Orders) and in a timely manner.
• Properly die cuts parts (conforms to specifications and processes as recorded on Work Orders) and in a timely manner.
• Properly and accurately clocks in and out of work and jobs.
• Properly and accurately records completed diaphragms and / or molds.
• Properly and accurately records scrap / waste.
• Maintains work area neat and clean.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Attains goal for Machine Hours versus Payroll Hours.
• Attains goal for Actual Hours versus Planned Hours on Work Orders.
• Attains goal for scrap and waste.
• Loads ovens as needed.
• Properly handles, uses, operates, and relocates / stores all tooling and dies used.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures in department.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, a maintain accurate records and job history

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Accredited High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One to three months' experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired.
