Rapaport Group in New York, NY is seeking a highly organized Graduate Gemologist to join our in-house team focused on preparing diamonds for monthly auctions. This role requires initiative, comfort with data systems, and a drive to grow in the diamond and auction industry.

The Processing Associate will support intake, evaluation, and inventory preparation, coordinating with teams on logistics and ensuring data accuracy across internal databases.

Qualifications

• Graduate Gemologist (GG) or equivalent with diamond grading experience.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong computer skills; comfortable with databases and spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming diamond inventory for auctions.
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking using internal systems.
• Assist in catalog creation with precise data entry of all submission details.
• Coordinate with internal teams on auction logistics, timelines, and inventory readiness.
• Perform preliminary gemological assessments, including color and clarity grading, diamond testing, Sarin measurements, and treatment checks.
• Coordinate shipments to and from clients before and after auctions.
• Handle all inventory with discretion and care; support process improvements.
