Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dialysis Technician to assist with hemodialysis treatments and patient care in our NJ facilities.

You will set up dialysis machines, monitor patients, document vital signs, and work closely with Registered Nurses to ensure safe, effective treatment. The role requires attention to safety and infection control, with opportunities for professional development within the dialysis team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/BLS is required.
• Dialysis certification is required.
• PCA, PCT, or Dialysis Technician experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
• Sets up and operates hemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to the Registered Nurse throughout the shift and before breaks.
• Monitors and documents dialysis treatment parameters (vital signs, weight, blood flow rate, etc.).
• Adapts work schedule to meet staffing needs and may float to other units as needed.
• Maintains safety, quality, and infection control standards.
• Provides direct patient care following the plan of care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
