Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Somerville, NJ seeks a dedicated dialysis technician to support the safe and effective delivery of dialysis therapy under RN supervision. You will assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient status, record vital signs, and help maintain a clean and safe treatment environment in alignment with regulatory and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and cannulation; administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Record pre/post treatment vital signs, weight, and other treatment parameters.
• Initiate dialysis per prescribed orders and monitor patient response.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure a clean treatment environment.
