Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH seeks a Dialysis Technician I (PRN) to support intermittent hemodialysis care under RN supervision. Shifts run 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. with rotating Saturdays and holidays; training week begins with a five-day commitment.

You will clarify dialysis regimens with licensed practitioners, administer meds as delegated by RNs or physicians, assist with water/dialysate prep, troubleshoot equipment, and help ensure patient safety in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDT certification must be current.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross is required.
• One year of prior Intermittent Hemodialysis (IHD) experience.

Responsibilities

• Clarify prescribed dialysis care regimen with the licensed practitioner when needed.
• Notify practitioner if you choose not to follow a regimen.
• Administer medications when delegated by RN or physician as allowed by Ohio law.
• Prepare water and dialysate and share responsibilities with the technologist team.
• Assist with equipment usage issues and troubleshooting.
