Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse with dialysis experience to join our team. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with providers to improve patient outcomes.

You will assess patients at admission and each shift, administer medications, document care, respond to patient needs, and educate patients and families about treatment plans and potential side effects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program
• Minimum of six (6) months of acute care experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
• Recent RN experience within Dialysis
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact holders must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the patient’s medical record
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively addressing needs
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures
