Job summary

Laredo Medical Center in Texas is seeking an experienced RN Dialysis to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will coordinate care, monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, educate families, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment plans.

The role requires strong clinical nursing skills, knowledge of dialysis procedures, infection control, and compassionate communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reporting changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects per standards of practice.
• Collaborates with physicians during procedures within documented competency and skill level.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols and monitors medical equipment as needed.
