Job summary

U.S. Renal Care, Inc. in Virginia seeks an experienced RN Charge Nurse to supervise nursing staff on each shift and coordinate dialysis services. The role emphasizes patient care, staff leadership, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will participate in care planning with physicians, mentor new staff, and ensure efficient use of supplies while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• 12 months nursing care experience, including 3 months with dialysis.
• Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and act as nursing supervisor.
• Improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.
• Document monthly review of patient medication profiles. Administer medications as ordered.
• Assist physician during patient rounds and transcribe/implement physician orders.
• Assist with anemia management and medication protocols as requested.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care practice acts.
• May provide direct patient care for efficient, safe dialysis where state allows.
• Respond to emergencies in clinic.
• Communicate results of patient assessment and monitoring to physician and team.
