U.S. Renal Care in Reston, VA seeks a Dialysis Registered Charge Nurse (Finance) to supervise nursing staff on each shift, coordinate clinical operations, and ensure safe dialysis care within regulatory and policy guidelines.

The role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, and coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. CPR is required within 90 days; RN license must be valid in the state.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state. License must be maintained as current and in good standing.
• 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months on maintenance dialysis.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Leadership in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.
• Excellent communication in English, written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and function as a nursing supervisor.
• Provide daily supervision of staff on duty during operational hours.
• Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.
• Demonstrate efficient use of supplies and staff labor hours.
• Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles; administer meds as ordered.
• Assist physician during rounds and transcribe orders timely.
• Assist with anemia management and medication protocols as requested.
• Comply with all laws and company policies; work within state/federal regulations.
• May provide direct patient care to dialysis as allowed by state law.
• Respond to emergencies in clinic.
• Communicate patient assessment results to physician and team.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with Medical Director and physicians.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary team care planning.
• Assist orientation of new staff as preceptor.
• Act as resource person for dialysis services and policy updates.
• Assist Administrator with interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
