Job summary

U.S. Renal Care, Inc. is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing services per shift and supervise staff on duty at our Hawaii dialysis center.

You will assist with clinical/operational processes, administer meds, and support rounds with physicians while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality patient care. Strong leadership and effective communication are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state.
• 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
• Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and supervise staff on duty.
• Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician and transcribe physician orders timely.
• Assist physician during patient rounds and implement orders.
• Support anemia management and medication protocols as requested.
• Communicate results of patient assessments to physicians and team members.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with Medical Director and physicians.
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient assessment and care planning activities.
• Assist in orientation of new staff as a preceptor or assigning a preceptor.
• Act as a resource and ensure policy/procedure updates for dialysis services.
