Job summary

CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for its Outpatient RN CAP 1 position as part of the Clinical Advancement Program. The role provides will coordinate and deliver dialysis care, participate in education, and collaborate with the care team to improve patient outcomes.

The candidate will perform essential nursing duties under supervision, including data collection, medication administration, and emergency response, while pursuing CAP advancement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing data collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the patient medical record; adjusts treatment plan as needed and notifies supervisor.
• Educates patients and families about initial and ongoing care needs.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy under supervision and in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource to the health care team and participates in staff training.
• Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures.
• Documents nursing assessment and care plan updates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Discusses transplant and treatment modality options with patients.
• Completes CAP requirements to advance.
