Job summary

AdventHealth Apopka is seeking an experienced RN to join our dialysis team. You will provide acute nursing care, perform assessments, rinse/prime equipment, and administer medications in a 12-hour day shift environment.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate of Science in Nursing, Florida RN license, BLS and ACLS, and one year of RN experience. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing.
• Current Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Rinses, primes, and positions equipment, attaches tubing, prepares dialysate, calibrates alarms, sets monitors, and performs system checks.
• Provides critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Performs patient assessments prior to treatment and proceeds based on assessments and physician's orders.
• Obtains blood samples and other specimens as indicated or ordered.
• Administer medications, blood, and blood products as ordered by the physician and according to policies.
• Assess and provide care for patients related to blood pressure, weight changes, access patency, lab values, dialysate composition, and fluid flows.
