Job summary

Kentfield Healthcare in San Francisco, CA seeks a per diem Registered Nurse to develop, implement, and revise care plans for dialysis patients, aligning with mission and standards of care. You will review patients receiving dialysis and monitor clinical status throughout treatment.

The role involves direct nursing care and supervision of the nursing team, across hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, in a hospital setting, partnering with patients and families to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Dialysis experience preferred.
• One year of Medical-Surgical, critical care or dialysis experience preferred; nurse residency acceptable.
• Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.

• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care for assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Kentfield Healthcare.
• Reviews all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assesses clinical status throughout treatment.

Position Summary

Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Kentfield Healthcare. Reviews all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assesses clinical status throughout treatment. Consistently assists team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing the established standards of care. Areas of practice are diverse, including, but not limited to, the fields of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

This position is a Per Diem position based in our San Francisco facility.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Dialysis experience preferred
• One (1) year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, critical care or dialysis preferred. Will except nurse residency program as experience.
• Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital.
