Job summary

Kentfield Hospital, part of American Advanced Management, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with dialysis expertise for per diem shifts in our Marin and San Francisco facilities.

The role involves developing care plans, administering hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis, and supervising nursing care per state regulations. Prior medical-surgical or critical care dialysis experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Dialysis experience preferred.
• 1 year of Medical-Surgical, critical care or dialysis experience preferred; nurse residency may count.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises a plan of care for assigned patients and families.
• Performs hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis with established standards.
• Supervises and delegates nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides direct patient care and collaborates with the care team.

Position Summary

Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Kentfield Healthcare. Reviews all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assesses clinical status throughout treatment. Consistently assists team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing the established standards of care. Areas of practice are diverse, including, but not limited to, the fields of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

This position is a Per Diem position based in our Marin facility.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.


• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.


• Dialysis experience preferred


• One (1) year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, critical care or dialysis preferred. Will except nurse residency program as experience.


• Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital.
