Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis health care team under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist in setting up and operating dialysis machines, monitor patients, document vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid PCT certification. Experience in patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification per CMS definition.
• At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of dialysis machines and monitor patient well-being.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters during dialysis.
• Document treatment data accurately on Hemodialysis Treatment Sheets.
• Participate in infection control, CQI activities, and staff training.
• Support transitional care for new patients and assist with education for patients.
