Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated dialysis technician to join the care team. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient wellbeing, and document all treatment parameters.

Responsibilities include pre/post treatment assessments, infection control, and coordination with nursing staff to ensure safe, effective dialysis care. High school diploma and state certification are required; CPR and licensure are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
• CPR certification preferred or required as per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate and monitor patient wellbeing during treatment; document vital signs.
• Perform pre/post dialysis checks and record treatment data.
• Discontinue treatment per policy and evaluate patient status.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and assist in infection control.
• Support education for patients on adequacy measures and disease process.
• Assist in training direct patient care staff under supervision of nurse.
• Prepare initial patient charts and collect lab specimens as required.
