Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Missoula, MT is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our dialysis team and deliver prescribed treatments. You will work under RN supervision, assist with setup, monitoring, and patient education, and help maintain a safe and compassionate care environment.

The full-time role offers 12-hour shifts starting at 5:30am, Sundays off, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth within our nonprofit mission-driven clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional relationship and patient privacy.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
