Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Teaneck, NJ seeks a dedicated dialysis technician to join the health care team under RN supervision. You will operate dialysis machines, monitor patients, and document vital signs and treatment parameters, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

The role includes patient education, vascular access evaluation, and assisting in maintaining a clean, safe treatment environment while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation as delegated.
• Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders (QB, QD).
• Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician.
• Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy and document changes.
• Discontinue dialysis treatment and evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access.
• Record pertinent data on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet with initial identification.
