Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT CCHT) to join our dialysis team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, perform vascular access cannulation, and document treatment parameters as part of a collaborative care model designed to support patient health and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values and customer service standards.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines safely and effectively.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and treatment parameters.
• Cannulate vascular access and administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Educate patients on adequacy measures and treatment processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control practices.
• Document treatment data accurately and report patient changes to RN or supervisor.
