Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMS/National certification requirements may apply where required by state.
• No dialysis experience needed — paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and inquire as to their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and assist with cannulation as delegated.
• Record vitals, weight and treatment details accurately on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Assist in initiating, monitoring and terminating dialysis treatment per orders and policies.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and cleanliness of dialysis machines and environment.
• Assist in training applicable staff and participate in CQI activities.
