Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist with the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and support patient care during treatments.

The role includes education, vitals monitoring, vascular access evaluation, documentation, infection control, and training responsibilities. A high school diploma and PCT certification are required, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent required.
• Must have a valid PCT national certification or state certification as defined by CMS.
• CPR certification required; demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up dialysis equipment and initiate treatment per orders.
• Record vitals, weight, and treatment data; monitor patient response to therapy.
• Observe and intervene for intradialytic problems as directed by physician or RN.
• Maintain infection control and keep the facility clean and safe.
• Assist in education and transition planning for patients and staff.
