Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate patient wellbeing and monitor responses to dialysis therapy.
• Record vital signs, treatment parameters, and discharge information.
• Ensure safety alarms are enabled and dialysis is performed per orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment and document procedures.
• Assist with infection control practices and equipment cleaning.
• Prepare and process labs and specimens as required.
• Support transition care and patient education under RN supervision.
