Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis technician in Michigan to join the care team and support safe, effective dialysis delivery under RN supervision. You will assist with setup, operation of dialysis machines, and patient education during treatment.

The role focuses on patient assessment, vascular access evaluation, and accurate documentation, with emphasis on safety, infection control, and adherence to CQI processes within the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CMS-approved state certification/licensure requirements.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and assess wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency; cannulate and administer heparin as allowed.
• Record pre/post treatment vital signs and weights.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD.
• Monitor patient response and intervene as directed.
• Document and communicate treatment data and significant changes to RN or supervisor.
